Course Title: Flash Action Scripting
Credit Hours: (3- 0) 3 Cr. Hrs.
Description:
This course provides an in-depth exposure to the Flash Action Scripting language. Students will learn to write scripts which extend and enhance the capabilities of the Adobe Flash software. During the semester, each student will design and produce a complex, highly interactive project such as a Web site, computer game, or computer-based training module. Students should have a working knowledge of Flash before beginning this class.
Prerequisite:
(A requirement that must be completed before taking this course.)
- CGT 211 or equivalent experience with Flash
Competencies:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- Create scripts for simple navigation on the Internet or CD ROM-based projects.
- Create scripts to dynamically calculate, evaluate, and display numerical data.
- Create scripts to evaluate and respond to user input.
- Systematically develop content from conception to implementation.
- Troubleshoot, problem solve, and debug problems.
- Create complex, highly interactive projects using Flash, such as computer-based games, training modules, or information kiosks.
